Remington’s Lessons on Time Management and Leadership

accurate time managementIf you’ve ever tried to walk a 140-pound Great Dane while holding a coffee, answering phone messages, and mentally preparing for your next client call… you know chaos. Meet Remington—my real-life time management coach in a fawn-colored fur coat. She’s massive, determined, graceful when she wants to be, and totally uninterested in multitasking. And she’s taught me more about leadership and business than any planner ever has.

Time Management Isn’t About Squeezing More In

When I first started working from home full-time, I thought I could “do it all.” I packed my days with back-to-back meetings, course-building, content batching, and client work… plus the laundry, groceries, vet visits, and trying to walk Remington without being dragged into a neighbor’s bush.

It didn’t work.

And that’s the point: time management isn’t about stuffing more into your day, it’s about getting clear on what matters, building routines that support your goals, and releasing what doesn’t serve you. Like trying to walk Remington and lead a Zoom call simultaneously. (Spoiler alert: one of those ends in barking.)

Leadership Confidence Comes from Letting Go

I coach women entrepreneurs shifting from the 9–5 grind to running their own businesses. And I see the same thing repeatedly:

They’re trying to do it all alone—because that’s what strong women do, right?

Wrong. That’s what burned out women do.

It took a 3-hour vet appointment and an unfinished client proposal to realize I needed to lead smarter, not harder. I took time management seriously. I started delegating, creating streamlined workflows, and trusted others to handle parts of my business. Just like I trust Remington to walk beside me without me dragging her every step of the way.
That trust? That’s confidence in action.

Results Comes from Clear Directions

If my Great Dane can clear a 3-foot hurdle, you can stop tripping over your calendar.
I watched Remington launch over that jump like a pro.
No hesitation. No overthinking. Just commitment and clean form.
Meanwhile, many business owners are stuck pacing in front of the same hurdle for weeks

  • A messy calendar
  • No time management
  • No Measurable Goals

You’re not failing.
You’re just stuck running a course with no map.
