Your 2026 Goals Need More Than Hope—They Need a Guard Dog

guard dogEntrepreneurs love big dreams.  Yet, big dreams without structure are just expensive hobbies. As we close out this year, I want you to think about something my Great Dane, Remington, does better than most business owners:

She moves with intention. No drama. No detours. No second-guessing. She sees where she’s going—and goes. Imagine planning your 2026 goals with that level of clarity.
Here’s how you get there:

1. Choose goals you can actually win.

If the goal requires superhuman abilities, it’s not a goal—it’s sabotage.  My advice:

  • Keep it simple.
  • Keep it clear.
  • Keep it doable.

Small wins compound. And momentum? It’s one of the most underrated business strategies on the planet.  Need help?  Grab my guide,GET THINGS DONE THAT MATTER.  Follow the sequence and you will be on your way to a fabulous 2026 and beyond.

2. Protect your 2026 goals like Remington protects the yard.

Boundaries aren’t “nice to have.”
They’re non-negotiable.
Ask yourself:
• What distractions need to go?
• What tasks should be delegated?
• What commitments belong in the “nope, absolutely not” pile?
If it doesn’t move your business forward in 2026, it doesn’t get in.
End of discussion.

3. Make 2026 the year you stop winging it.

Courageous leaders plan before things break—not after.
So pause and ask:
• What more do you want to have next year?
• What do you want less of?
• What systems will save your sanity?  Again, my guide, GET THINGS DONE THAT MATTER is the great answer to building systems.  And systems build businesses.
And, most importantly, decide you’re done treating your business goals like optional suggestions.

4. Take the Remington approach: Move with purpose.

When Remington wants the couch, she doesn’t overthink it. She doesn’t negotiate with herself. She moves.
Your success needs that same energy.
• Stop delaying
• Stop hesitating
• Take one bold step toward the version of who already hit those 2026 goals.

Final Thought
You don’t need a miracle to make 2026 your strongest year yet.
You need clarity, boundaries, courage—and a plan built for real humans.

Imagine Remington standing at the doorway of your business goals saying:
“You’ve got this. Now move.”
